My question is whether "together with an SAE or 50p" is followed after a cheque or credit card details or both.

It means: If you are ordering by mail (by post), please send a check or your credit card details to this address. Also send a self-addressed stamped (postage affixed) envelope (SAE), or add 50p to the total to pay for return postage.
