Hello, teachers.
I can understand such expression as "run along something" or "walk along something", but what does it mean when you say "stand along the table"? I found this expression in a court room drama in which a defendant's counsel addresses the jury "standing along table". Does this simply mean he "stands beside the table"? Or does he move along the table and stops while addressing the jury? Your help is greatly appreciated. |
