Dear teacher,
Can you ntell me why "sticking" instead of "stuck" is used in the following sentence?Thank you!
To our surprise, the boy came in, his hands sticking in his pockets.

Sticking isn't wrong, but I agree with you, stuck is what most of us would say. Perhaps the context makes sticking a better choice?
