Dear teachers,

Please help me with the questions I have.

And then I realized, I had been *through* about 10 countries in the last year, and still hadtwo more to get under my belt before June

1. had been *through*=had been *to*

2.*under my belt*=already have done or about to do?

Thank you so much.

Using through instead of to here is fine. It means the person went to and traveled through about 10 countries. He had about 10 countries under his belt and had two more to go. When you have something under your belt, it means you have eaten it, and it is in your stomach, under your belt. Figuratively, and the way it is most often used, it means you have done it, experienced it, etc.
