Hi! Im Yoko and a University student in Japan. There are many unique aspects in Japanese culture. For example, almost all Japanese have no special religion, so we go not only to temple, but also to church when we'd like to go Very Happy Don't you think it is interesting?

I'm from the Province of Quebec, in Canada.

Similarly to Colombia, I find that most Quebecers are what you would call 'bons vivants'. People are always down with having fun and taking life with a grain of salt. Of course, not everyone is this way, but I think the majority, or at least close to it, of the population fits that description.

I do not mean to fall into the stereotypes but if we're looking for unique parts of culture, I think sugar shacks would have to be near the top of Quebec's list. People go to rural areas, into the woods, to a shack where they eat pea soup, beans, meat pie, and all kinds of maple products.

We also have cold weather for most of the year, which means that we have to wear coats, sweatshirts, and pants, for example, most of the time. It can get real hot in the summer, but it never lasts that long.

On the religious side, christianity used to be the most widely spread. It still is a big thing in regions, but not as big as it used to be.

Hello!
I'm from the United States, where the culture is focused on keeping busy and achieving. Often, it's hard for Americans to relax and be "bon vivants." We could learn some lessons from other cultures!
