After a few rounds of talks, both sides regarded the territory disputes as____.
Question: Can the Past Participle "settled" fit in this blank?
As I know, only noun or pron can follow the prep "as", can the word "settled" be used here ?Why?
Thanks! |

I don't think that rule holds. You can use a past participle, or an adjective after "as", so "settled" is correct.
e.g. He's colourblind, he sees red as blue.
I don't regard that job as finished. |
