Dear teachers,

I had heard that while at the end of a presentation,
if the presenter put the words "Any Questions?" in the
final page of the slide might mean the presenter are very
sure of the thoughts he proposed and so as to make the audiences
try to find some viewpoints to challenge the presenter's
proposal. But we usually do it for listening some advices
from the audiences. There're no another intent to do so.
So is it proper to put the words "Any Questions?"
in the end of the slide?

Best wishes,
Yi Ping Liao

It is perfectly proper to ask for questions at the end of a presentation. However the speaker would usually ask the audience directly rather than have "Any questions?" written on a slide as you imply. Depending on the type of presentation, it might be inviting discussion of the ideas or offering to explain if anything is unclear.
