You should make full preparations for the test in a good state of mind.

I am not sure about whether it is correct from a native point of view.

I think it would be natural to insert the word "while" in between the words "test" and "in." It would read: You should make full preparations for the test while in a good state of mind. The word "while," here, acts as a conjugation between the clause and the prepositional phrase.
