Is there any difference between a cottage and a hut?

A cottage is a small rural dwelling,usually traditional in style. It may be very solidly built,perhaps of stone, and these days it might be the home of someone very rich.
A hut is a small makeshift kind of building, not necessarily a home.
e.g. There might be a hut at a building site for workers to have lunch in.
