I saw the above examples in my dictionary and it says that 'addle' is an old-fashioned word.
So I'd like to know that the word 'addle' is not used among native speakers these days.
Please tell me.

It is used, but not really in common speech anymore (older generations might still use it). You normally see it in written works, like literature or some newspaper/magazine articles.
