I don't get the nuance of "What's it worth to you?" below.
Could someone explain for me please?
Is he saying that the disease is not worth having?
"As a comedian, I've died many deaths. Prostate cancer, I don't recommend. I'd have paid good money to stay out of here. What's it worth to you?" |

He's talking about success as a comedian. What are you willing to give up to have success? How much are you willing to suffer? What price, in terms of financial, personal, or emotional, are you willing to pay to have success and fame "out here" (on the stage or in Hollywood)?
