Hi,

What would be the correct way of writing in a farewell card

- it was a pleasure working with you
- it has been a pleasure working with you ?

Is there any difference in the meaning?

Thank you.

Kind regards,

Alex

Hi Alex

Either sentence is absolutely fine. The difference is really small (if any).

You might say "it was a pleasure working with you" if you are unlikely to work with that person again.

"it has been a pleasure working with you" might be used if you are reasonably sure that you will be working with that person again in the future.

To be honest either sentence works under both circumstances, so I would not worry about it too much.
