It's better to be appropriately right than to be precisely wrong.
What does the sentence mean? What does "appropriately" mean?
As far as i know, it means properly, but it seemingly doesn't make sense in this context?
Thanks |

There's a quote which goes 'it's better to be approximately right than to be precisely wrong', does that make more sense? |

Are you sure the word being used was "appropriately?" The expression "It is better to be approximately right than to be precisely wrong" is common, but I have never heard the word "appropriately" being used there. It would not make sense. |
