Hi teachers,
What is "guiding tenant" in the following sentenses?
1) Our goal is not only to provide you with the best skilled trades work but also the satisfaction of dealing with a customer oriented,
reliable and professional team. Customer satisfaction is the guiding tenant of our business.
We have built our business on customer satisfaction and word of mouth referrals.
2) I am not sure I fully understand. The personalization is not valuable or this research that you have done.
Could you unpack that a little bit because it seems like that is probably a guiding tenant.
And, if it is possible, could you mind paraphrasing the sentense "The personalization is not valuable or this research that you have done."?
Sincerely,

The writer has confused the word "tenet" meaning a principle or doctrine, with the word "tenant" which sounds similar but has no connection to it.
As for the second sentence, it is not very clear. it probably means that this personalisation (that is, making the topic personal) is not valuable, and nor is this research. |
