Hello,
a friend of mine which leads a construction company (apartments, building renovation and designing) called "Building Service House".
I was wondering if to a mother tongue English speaker this name would sound something like construction company name or something else, or it's not even grammatically correct in English?
Does "Building Service House" sound like a construction company brand name?
What does this name makes you think of?
Does this name makes any sense if you didn't know this is a building/construction company?
Thanks a lot |

To me that sounds like the name of an actual house or building. As a noun phrase the noun is the last word (house), and the words before it modify the noun to provide specific information; in this case the name seems to refer to a house which has something to do with building- or construction-related services.
You can rearrange it to get 'House-Building Service', which sounds like the company provides services that are directly related to building houses. Personally I don't think it's a very catchy name, and I think construction sounds more professional than building. |
