(2) Do you have any money?
Which is better, (1) or (2)? Or do you have any particular situations where you could use (1) or (2)?

Hello!
#2 is correct.
We use any when we are making a negative statement. We also use any to ask a question.
Example of negative statement: I don't have any money. (Not: I don't have some money)
Example of a question: Do you have any money? (Not: Do you have some money?) |
