Hello,
Situation: [something like a cooking show with a demonstrator and a host] The demonstrator tells us about each ingredient while cooking. Towards the end, all that is left to be done is seasoning and garnishing. Can s/he say something along the line of:
Let's finish the [name of dish].
Will it sound more like 'let's finish (eating) [name of dish] than 'let's finish (making) [name of dish]?
Thank you,
Nawee |

The words could mean either, but a listener would take a cue from the context as to which was meant. |
