I was 16 when I began work at the whaling station.
On the afternoon, I arrived at the station as I was sorting out my accomodation, I heard a loud noise coming from the bay.
What does "sort out my accommodation" mean? According to a reference book, it means "find suitable accommodation."
But I cannot find it in any dictionary. Is it right? OR is it a fixed phrase?
Thanks |

| "Sort out" just means to arrange or fix up. So you might sort out your timetable at the beginning of the school year, or sort out what to take on a trip. Here, it could mean finding accommodation, or it could mean fixing details like payment, or where to put things. |
