				| European scientists say the seasonal wonder appears to be strange:The fatter the bird, the better it flies. the results of their study led to a theory opposite to a central one of aerodynamics, which says that the power needed to fly increases with weight.

What does which refer to? A theory or aerodynamics?

You can register between May 1 and June 15 and will have to turn in your entry before September 15.

What is the difference between "register" and "turn in your entry"?

 Thanks

				| which refers to a central theory of aerodynamics.
You register when you submit your name to take part in something.

Let's say you enter a poetry competition.

You register by filling in a form that would require your name and probably several other personal details. They usually give you a copy of the rules.
Off you go and write a brilliant poem (your entry) which you turn in (or submit) before the deadline.
