Dear teachers,
I've heard some American friends said "She's suitable for me." Is it ok to use the word "suitable" in this kind of meaning? Is it considered as non-standard English. What would be a better way to say it?
Thank you,

Hi,
I'm American and she's suitable for me sounds fine to me--certainly nothing I would consider non-standard. I can only speculate at the context, but I would presume the speaker was referring to a girl that he was either dating or was interested in dating (or possibly even married to) and was expressing the fact that the female in question either is or would be a good match for him.
