Hello, everyone.
I'm doing a research on sussful learners English learning experience. I found that many of them claimed that their English teachers affect their attitude on English study. Those who didn't like English at the beginning fell in love with English because of their English teacher. The ideal English teacher they described are young, lovely, beautiful and humours.
Do your English teacher affect your English study? If so, how does he or she affect you? I want to hear your story.

There are several good studies that indicate a strong connection between students' learning and their instructors.

I think many students will tell you they were affected either positively or negatively by a teacher.

i find that the best teachers have the same things in common. they have empathy for the learners, they are compasionate and caring, they are funny and dynamic. and finally they know how to make the learner pay attention and do the work.

What an interesting idea! I am a native English speaker, but I fell in love with French because of my very first French teacher. She walked in the room, said "Bonjour, mes amis!" and I was hooked on French from that moment on!

Later, when I studied to teach ESL, I saw the same effect on students. One term, I worked with a terrible ESL teacher, and you could feel the class had no energy or motivation. My other classes had excellent teachers, who could make the students feel proud and successful.

Here in USA I had one teacher that was really important in my education, Gregory every time when I talk with him, he correct me, and explain how to use the correct expressions in english...
I think a teacher who help the student are really importante for our education.

I read about a study which looked at good and bad teachers. A good teacher can teach 1.5 years worth of material in 1 year. A bad teacher only gets through about .5 So the difference between a good and a bad teacher is a whole year! Then comes the golden question, what makes a good teacher and what makes a bad one?
