As soon as (A)a worry pops / (B) worries pop into people's heads at night, it's the best way to say "This is not the time."
In this sentence, which one is right, (A) or (B)?
If both of them are OK, is there any difference between them ? If so, what's it? |

I think both could be considered acceptable. That's my opinion; however, a reasonable case could be argued for both.
You could think of many worries popping into many people's heads, or of one worry at a time popping into one representative person's head. I'd go with a worry, because that's how most people would visualize this. In fact, I would rewrite this sentence as follows:
As soon as a worry pops into a person's head at night, it's best to say "This is not the time."
