Actually I was ignorant about figure skating because it's not a main sports in Korea with little financial support by government or social infrastructure , etc.
I thought that figure skating is not something that we can be good at until Yu-na Kim won the first prize in the Grand Prix Final 2007. Looking back upon the moment, we were all surprised by the unexpected result.
I was deeply inspired that she made her dream come true in such a horrible circumstances - series of injuries, financial difficulties, and so on.
I suppose those barriers and hardship in the past made her stronger.
One thing that I like about Yu-na Kim is that she really loves skating itself ; of course many other skaters do, but I can see her enjoy dancing to the music on the ice, which makes other people feel happy, too. |
