Hello

I have a small question.

We usually say "I have a special gift."

"special gift" is adjective and noun

I think that I can use "something" replace "gift".

I sould say "special something." but we don't say that.

We usually use "something special"

I thinK something is a noun.

"someting special" is strange.

please tell me why we use "something special" or "nothing impossible" ,
not use "special something".

Jacky

Yes, we do. We do use the expression "someone has a special something." It just means they have some special quality about them.

We say this, too. If you say "someone has something special", the meaning can be quite similar. It just means that person has something, and it's special.

Yes, it is. That's the only thing it can be.

No, it's not. We say it all the time. Wink

We say all of the above.
