In the quote, the word 'notice' in #1 means 'realize', and on the other hand that of #2 to #4 means 'take notice of' or 'pay attention to'.
Could you let me know if my opinion is right or wrong?

In #1, notice still means take notice of or pay attention to. About the only difference between using notice and realize in this sentence is that realize tends to emphasize the fact that you became aware of something suddenly, and thus the thing you realize probably has more significance or impact. If you notice something, you simply become aware of it without there necessarily being any significant impact associated with it.
I noticed she was wearing a new dress.
(It was a nice dress...big deal.)
I realized she was wearing a new dress.
(And at that moment, I knew—it must have been a gift from her secret lover!!)
