If you also find it difficult to work out exactly how much gas you are consuming on a daily basis, the 330+ can help you see immediately if you are consuming a low, medium or high amount of gas.
An independent research has shown that this level of customer awareness can reduce energy consumption by as much as 10%, so you'll be doing your bit for the environment as well. And as the 330+ is produced in Britain, transportation is least possible, providing even greater savings for the environment.

What does "this" refer to? Can I just use "the" instead since there is no context?

What can we learn from the passage?
B. The cost of transportation may be reduced if you have 330+.
D. The 330+ boiler can tell you the amount of gas used every day.

The answer is D. BUT can I choose answer B according to the sentence"as the 330+ is produced in Britain, transportation is least possible,"?
By the way, the artcle just tells us we will know if you are consuming a low, medium or high amount of gas.
BUT it does not tell us exactly the amount of gas used every day. So I think D is not right.

AM I right?

Thanks

This level of customer awareness is the level of customer awareness represented by a customer being able to see immediately if he is consuming a low, medium or high amount of gas. That level of customer awareness.

You really can't use the here, because it would be completely confusing. By using a "pointing" word like this, it is clear you are referring back to what was previously mentioned. This (or that) forms a connection with what was just mentioned. If you just said the, that connection is not formed. That's about the best way I can explain it.

D is correct. The fact that they're made in Britain and that this reduces transportation costs is an incidental bit of information tacked on at the end, and even then B makes a rather weak reference to it.

Well, D doesn't say the 300+ tells you the exact amount of gas you use. I do agree, however, that D is worded in a rather loose (some might say sloppy and misleading) way. Rolling Eyes In spite of that, I still think it's better than B.
