Hello,

I have been told that when an "s" is between vowels, it is sometimes pronounced like a "z". The trouble is I don't know when to pronounce it like an "s" and when to pronounce it like a "z". I have just found out recently that most "-ose" words like "rose" are pronounced "oze" but "-ise" words are pronounced "ais". Are there pronunciation rules about "s"? Can you recommend where I can learn more about these pronuciation rules?

Thank you very much.

Nawee

Nawee, take my advice. Don't waste your time looking for "rules" that don't exist. Learn how to pronounce each word. I'm sorry. There is no other way. Crying or Very sad
