This question is hopelessly bad. Only B and C? Maybe I have a wilder imagination than you do. Heck, I can invent contexts, bizarre as they may be, in which all four answers would seem quite reasonable. 
Seriously, Jason. Please tell me this junk doesn't come from your textbook.

Sadly, so much rubbish crops up in our daily exercises, which I am not sure about. Fortunately, not from textbooks.
Have to confirm from a native.
