If something goes to your head, it causes you to become filled with pride and to assume an annoying and probably unjustified attitude of superiority over others. We also say you get a big head, with numerous associated variations such as "Ever since John got promoted, his head won't fit through the door," and so on.
So, don't allow success to go to your head...don't allow it to turn you into an arrogant jerk who thinks he's the greatest thing since sliced bread.
