What are the figures in parentheses: (6) and (5).

Roddick, in the midst of a resurgent season, had hoped to postpone Federer’s record-making, but despite playing what looked very much like the match of his life, Roddick could succeed only in turning Sunday’s final into Wimbledon’s latest classic as Federer won by the remarkable score of 5-7, 7-6 (6), 7-6 (5), 3-6, 16-14.

The numbers in parentheses represent the number of points the loser of a tiebreaker scored. In other words, Federer won the second set in a tiebreaker by the score of 8-6 (remember, you have to win by two). So, (6) represents the fact that Roddick was able to win six points in the loss. In the third set, Federer won again in a tiebreaker by a score of 7-5. Again, (5) is the number of points Roddick scored in that tiebreaker.

P.S. I hope you were able to watch the match...it was incredible! Very Happy

Thank you.
In a tiebraker a score is shown as 7-6 or 6-7 regardless of the actual score points. Is there any meaning in this representation?

The 7-6 or 6-7 is the score of the set in numbers of games...not the score of the tiebreaker. In this case, the 7th and deciding game is the tiebreaker itself, the score of which is represented just as I explained above.
