Could you tell me what "what's this business about (an Egyptian princess)?"means?
M: It is a compliment silly! You look great!
W: Then what's this business about an Egyptian princess?
The expression is kind of unfamiliar to me.

What's this business about an Egyptian princess?
To be quite certain what the intention of the reference is, I would need a little more information as to what preceded your quotation, but it may have been a way of saying: "Why are you comparing me to an Egyptian princess"
Or, "What's the reason for the reference to an Egyptian princess?" |
