Tnx very much for your help! You are so kind! Very Happy
Now again I would like to ask you to correct some of my texts to sound in the best way. By the way Laka is a newspaper. Smile
And here is the text:
Five personal tasks
Oro has set Anvi five personal objectives: to stop smuggling, to end abuses of excises, transparency in customs operations, interaction with non-governmental organizations and check of signals for offences, published in Media.
"As a former director of DCO I know smuggling channels and their participants on both sides," stated at his presentation Anvi. He refused to say what persons from the highest levels of power were holding umbrella over the informal economy, as he informed in his leaving of DCO in 2005, after having entered into conflict with the then Minister of Interior Enpe.
Customs officers with nicknames being cleared
The new Director of Customs has stated that he considers to clear the Agency from employees with nicknames customs officers, about whom official signals were submitted that they have been serving definite interests. However, Anvi refused to comment whether he will change his Deputies and when. He left with Kova and the Chief of the NRA Mira for Vadi, where they will be inspecting the Tax Department and the local Customs Office in accordance with the Minister's schedule.
The new Director of the Agency said yet that he knew many experts from Genta - the private Brazilian company with which the ex-government had concluded contract for consultation, and would rely in his work on its assistance. On the question to the Minister of Finance if the contract with Genta would be terminated, Kova said: "Their activity is useful for us and their contract, which expires in 9 months, probably will be extended."

Please note:
When you first mention a person by name it is usual to give his position and his full name.
Unfortunately, I have not been keeping up with the Bulgarian bureaucracy and I cannot read the Bulgarian reports that I could find on Google, so I don't know who anybody you have written about is.
So... you would write something like:- Finance Minister Vladimir Oro... etc.,
Chief Inspector of Customs Ivan Anvi...
And so on... After that you can refer to them as, Anvi and Oro, unless you want to be really formal, in which case you would use their title. In the western press, however, such formality is rare.
Also, when you first mention an Organisation, you give its full name, e.g: Directorate of Customs Operations... its usual abbreviation, e.g. (DCO) .
After that you can just refer to it by its initials - DCO.
Just to make life interesting, when the first mention of DCO is a direct quote, you would write its full title in parentheses after the initials. e.g. "As a former director of DCO (Directorate of Customs Operation)... etc."
I have marked with an asterix where I think you need to review.
Five personal tasks
Oro* has set Anvi* five personal objectives: to stop smuggling, to end abuses of excises, to achieve transparency in customs operations, to interact with non-governmental organizations and to monitor media publications for signs of possible offences.
"As a former director of DCO,* I know smuggling channels and their participants on both sides," stated Anvi in his presentation.
He refused to say what persons from the highest levels of power were "holding an umbrella over the informal economy", as he had alleged when he left DCO in 2005, after having entered into conflict with the then Minister of Interior*Enpe.
Corrupt Customs officers to be fired
The new Director of Customs has stated that he intends to clear the Agency of corrupt employees customs officers, about whom it was officially reported that they have been serving outside interests. However, Anvi refused to comment on whether or not he will change his deputies. He left with *Kova and the Chief of the NRA** Mira for Vadi, where they will be inspecting the Tax Department and the local Customs Office in accordance with the Minister's schedule.
The new Director of the Agency said that he knew many experts from Genta - the private Brazilian company that the former government had hired as consultants and would rely on their assistance. On the question to the Minister of Finance as to whether the contract with Genta would be terminated, Kova said: "Their activity is useful to us and their contract, which expires in 9 months, probably will be extended." |

Hi dear teachers!
How are you today? Thanx again for your academic help.
Now I would like to ask you about another correction of a text of mine. Here it is:
The day electricity falls slightly, night rates raise
Up to 4% increases the cost of electro elenergy for the business from July 1
The price of household electricity during the day will be reduced slightly and the night rates will have to increase after July 1, said yesterday the President of the State Energy and Water Regulatory Commission. Yesterday the average prices of the electro and heat energy were appointed by the Committee, but the final decision on the new prices from July will be taken at the end of the month. The prices for consumers in the electric power network EK will be reduced with a bit over a percentage. A little more will be the reduction in the price for subscribers of BON and for AVV consumers there will be a minimal increase of 0.08%. Thus the average cost of household current after July 1 will be about 0.13 / kWh, excluding VAT.
According to estimates of SEWRC for business consumers who receive electric power on the regulated market for medium voltage, there will be an increase of the tariffs by 3 % for the clients of AVV and 4.03 percent for customers of BON.
Industrial production grew by nearly 7 % per month
The wholesale trade recorded a growth of 4.5 % as a result of the positive rates in all groups
Less production of tobacco articles by 12.6 %, of paper and paperboard and their articles by 8.9 % and also of basic metals by 2.9%.
Industrial national production increased by 6.9 % in June compared to May, reported the National Statistical Institute (NSI). On annual basis, however, the index decreased by 18.7% which is lower than the registered decline in May 2009 versus May 2008 (-22%). The decline for the mining industry was 32.6 % compared to June 2008, in the manufacturing industry 21.5%, in the production and distribution of electricity, heat and gas - 3.5%. Manufacture of products for intermediate consumption fell by 31.3 % over that period, of investment products - by 27.5% and of energy products - by 1.7%.
The overall index for industrial production is being largely determined by the manufacturing index, which in June 2009 increased by 6.9 % per month. Growth by 42.4% was registered in the printing business and in the reproduction of recorded media, by 36.1% in production of chemical products, by 24.8% in machinery and equipment manufacture, by 16.8% in production of rubber and plastic articles. The production of tobacco products dropped by 12.6 %, of paper and paperboard and their articles by 8.9 % and also production of basic metals by 2.9%. Increase of 11.6% was reported in generation and distribution of electricity, heat and gas while the mining industry registered a decline of 8.3 percent. _________________ Have a nice, sunny, lucky day! |

I am assuming that these are newspaper articles and the words in bold print are headlines. Also it may be a good idea to write in full the names of the companies whose initials you have used.
Electricity rates to rise.
The President of the State Energy and Water Regulatory Commission (Name?) said yesterday that after July 1st 2009 the price of household electricity used during the day would be reduced slightly, but the night rates will increase. Rates for commercial use would increase 4%.
The average prices of electricity and heating (oil & natural gas?) were approved by the committee, but the final decision on the new prices will be taken at the end of the month.
The prices for consumers in the electric power network EK will be reduced by slightly more than 1%. For subscribers to BON and for AVV, there will be an increase of 0.08%. Thus the average cost of household current after July 1 will be about 0.13 / kWh, excluding VAT.
According to estimates of SEWRC, business consumers who receive electric power on the regulated market for medium voltage, will face an increase of 3 3 % for the clients of AVV and 4.03 percent for customers of BON.
Industrial production and wholesale trade record growth. Tobacco and paper production shrinks.
National industrial production increased by 6.9 % in June, compared to May, according to the National Statistical Institute (NSI). On an annual basis, however, the index decreased by 18.7%, which is less than the registered decline in May 2009, versus May 2008 (-22%).
The decline for the mining industry was 32.6 % compared to June 2008. In the manufacturing industry it was 21.5%. In the production and distribution of electricity, heat and gas - 3.5%.
Manufacture of products for intermediate consumption fell by 31.3 % over the same period. Investments fell by by 27.5% and energy products by 1.7%.
The overall index for industrial production is being largely determined by the manufacturing index, which in June 2009 increased by 6.9 % .
Growth of 42.4% was registered in the printing industry, and the record industry grew by 36.1%.
Production of chemical products increased by by 24.8% and machinery and equipment manufacturing, by 16.8%. Production of rubber and plastic articles....(What are the numbers?) The production of tobacco products dropped by 12.6 %, and paper products by 8.9 %. Also production of basic metals decreased by 2.9%. An increase of 11.6% was reported in generation and distribution of electricity, heat and gas, while the mining industry registered a decline in production of 8.3 percent.
