A: I'd go to the cinema more often if there were more new films.
B: Oh, it's funny, isn't it? Read reviews of new films in the papers and you'll think. "Oh, I must see that". But it just never comes to the local cinema.
What does "it just never comes to the local cinema" mean?
thanks. |

| In British English the places where films are shown are called cinemas (movie theatres). The speaker is saying that she often reads a review of some new film, thinks 'I have to see that' but the local cinema never screens it. It's similar to the idea of a show coming to town (they all arrive at the place where they'll perform). |
