Which is the most natural for the blank in the passage below, from #1 through #3?
1. it is more important to be kind to everyone
2. to be kind to everyone is more important
3. being kind to everyone is more important
Young people love their friends. They want to be together all the time. They are very kind to each other. However, they are not always kind to strangers. Being kind to your friends is very important, but ( ).
I think #3 is the most natural in this context. What do you think? |

There's very little about any of this that's natural, so we have to default to what doesn't violate any grammar rules. In order of being the least awkward, I would say 3., 1., then 2. So, in effect, I guess I agree with you.
