That was the __45__ of James�s odd-job business. For three months he worked every day after finishing his homework.
A. beginning B.opening
Of course A is right. But as far as I know, "opening" also has a meaning of "beginning". So does answer B fit here?

I think the difference is that opening usually involves a ceremony.
