Hello,

Is the "ch" in Chicago pronounced "ch" (as in "chick") or "sh" (as in "ship")?

Is the "tue" in "statue" pronounced "ti-oo" or "choo"? I have always pronounced "tue" in "Tuesday" as "ti-oo". Should I say "choo" instead?

What other words have "t" pronounced like "ch"?

Is the "tue" in "statue" pronounced "ti-oo" or "choo"? I have always pronounced "tue" in "Tuesday" as "ti-oo". Should I say "choo" instead? In the U.S., we say "statchue" and we say "Tuesday" more like "Toosday." In Britain, "Tuesday" is more like "Tyoosday." In Australia, I've heard it pronounced "Chooseday."

We also say "sitchuation" for "situation," and similar words. An exhaustive list would be more than I could do!
