Dear Sir or Madam,
What kind of food is "hot roll"? I get it from the following sentence. "In cafeterias, you can get a variety of food such as fried fish, barbecued chicken, sweet potatoes, rice, and hot roll."

A roll or dinner roll is a small individual loaf of bread sometimes eaten with meals. They are often served warm, not actually hot, because they taste better warm, and butter melts on them. They're good, by the way.
