Dear teachers,
Could you please tell me whether the following sentence is right ?
" The Great Wall is the one of the buildings on the earth that is seen on the moon."
I don't know the meaning of " the one of" . I think if it's the same as " the only one" ,the meaning of the sentence is wrong, because the Great Wall isn't the only building that can be seen from the moon. But if it's the same as "one of " , the verb should be in plural form. Am I right?
Thank you very much! |

In this example, "the one of" is incorrect grammar. The word "the" should not be in the phrase. It should read: "The Great Wall is one of the buildings..." |
