Dear teachers:
I've got a question while taking a pratice TOEIC test. And here's the picture: http://www.badongo.com/pic/7733648
It shows up that the man is folding his arms. But I have been confused after looking it up in Longman Dictionary, which is written:
cross/fold your arms (=bend your arms so that they are resting on top of each other against your body)
I was considering that if crossing means you may see arms crossed obviously, but the dictionary didn't explain that.
Can anybody help me out?
Your response will be sincerely aprreciated.
Sincerely,
Kevin. |

I think most Americans seeing that picture would say that the man is crossing his arms or folding his arms, hence both A and B are correct. I would think that either A or B should be scored correct on this test.
Maybe others have different opinions or insights. _________________ You live a new life for every new language you speak. -Czech proverb |
