Is `a weak self-confidence�okay? or should it be: a weak personality

Usually when talking about self-confidence in a negative way we say, "He lacks self-confidence. "He has no self-confidence", or something similar.
He has a weak personality signifies to me someone who is colorless, indecisive, unreliable and boring. He is weak.
A person of weak character is someone who gets into trouble with the law, is generally undesirable through over-indulgence in bad habits etc.
