He immediately got high
He got immediately high.
I feel the second one is incorrect. (adverb must come before main verb)Am I right? |

In informal spoken English you may hear this usage.
Usually referring to when someone arrives at a location.
He had a terrible day at the office and when he got home he got immediately relaxed.
In this usage, which is not grammatically correct, immediately modifies "relaxed".
In informal usage you may hear this. It is one of the many ways that spoken American English is not always 100% grammatically correct. |
