Bring/take or both? Please comment.

They mean pretty much the same thing when used as in your example.
In general, you take something from here to there (e.g. I'm taking my little sister to grandma's house.) and you bring something from there to here. e.g. I'm bringing you some homemade bread.)

There are regional differences too.
