What are your top two rules for grammar, spelling or vocabulary? I'm looking for rules/tips that other learners can use to simplify/speed up English learning.
It could be something like I before E, except after C.
When I studied French, my two rules were: always learn the noun with its indefinite article - un/une. And an E followed by two consonants doesn't have an accent - essayer, and not ssayer.
But what are your rules/tips for learning English?

My top rule for learning English - don't be afraid to make mistakes.

My top grammar rule - their is always an exception to the rule!

Good luck,

Corey
