In a vain attempt to regain her youthful figure, she-----heavy things completely for about a month.
a cut off B.cut into C.cut down D.cut out
Here in the first analysis, B and C are definitely incorrect for the sentence.
Now, I am not sure if I should use A or D as the answer. Please could someone lend me a hand and explain why either one is being chosen as the answer. |

Happy New Year monicashen
The answer to your query is D: Cut Out, as in to stop eating heavy foods to help "her" maintain her weight and "youthful figure".
Hope that helps
Kindest regards
