Dear teachers:
What's the exact meaning of "hope to catch up with you soon"?
Here's the context: my friend and I haven't seen & talked to each other for a while. We used to, quite a lot. We saw each other twice but didn't talk. Today he texted me asking a few questions and say "hope to catch up with you soon".
Thank you. |

Hi charicewind,
The phrase "hope to catch up with you soon" is just a friendly way of saying "see you soon", in that the person sending the text message hopes that the receiver and them can meet up again in the near future.
Hope that helps.
