Say I need someone to take picture for my family in a resort

Which one of below is correct or appropriate:

Could you please take us a picture?
Could you please take a picture for us?
Could you please take a picture of us?

Thank you for your help.

Of the three, the only correct one is

Could you please take a picture of us?

You could also say:

Would you please take our picture?
Would you mind taking our picture?

Thanks, CP.

Could you please further clarify me why

"Could you please take a picture for us? "

is wrong?

Thank you very much.

That would mean, we want to take a picture, but we don't want to do it ourselves, so would you take the picture in our stead? That would be appropriate if you wanted the other person to use his or her camera to take the picture of the subject, but not when you are asking the person to take a picture of you.

Does that help clarify?
