A: When do you finish work? B: At five usually. (This year)
B: When did you finish work? B: At five usually. (Last year)
is the second version okay? in other words: is `usually used with the past tense to express past habits?

In example A I would usually reverse the answer to the question:
When do you finish work? Usually at five. (This year)
Hope that helps
