What�s the meaning of `buck-naked� in this context?
You are about to take the final exam and forgot to study and you`re sitting at your desk buck-naked. Could it mean that you are totally unprepared for the exam or does it mean `totally naked�?

Well buck-naked does mean 'totally naked' - I suppose in this context it could mean 'unprepared', in the sense that someone who's not dressed is unready and defenceless.
There are also common nightmares that people talk about, where they find themselves in their underwear or completely naked in front of people, and where they're in exams which they're completely unprepared for - maybe the rest of the text is describing a nightmare situation like this? |
