Hello,
How do you pronounce "association"?
Does it sound like "assoSEation" or assoSHEEation"?
If both are said, which can be more frequently heard?
THanks!! |

I usually say assoSEation which is what the Oxford dictionary says it should be, but I've heard assosheeation many times and assoshayshun, too.
I think for practical purposes any of them works, but if you're doing an English oral examination, stick with assoSEation (especially if the examiner was trained in England). |

I learned English from my Londoner parents but now speak it with an Australian accent.
I have to admit I say 'SHEE' when I say that word without thinking. Both when it's a verb and a noun. _________________ Try some mini, on-line adventure games to help your English at: www.gameenglish.com |
