I have written in a manual:
This Flowchart describes the work process on the travel task. The chart shows the sequence of steps and participants involved.
Should I put "the" before the word "participants"?
Why?

Yes, you should, unless you mean, the sequence of participants.
I might add, to me, " the work process on the travel task" sounds a little obscure.
Perhaps it is arcane language that computer programmers use? |
